Sending from an alias

What is verified and what still needs local instance confirmation.

Documentation

The deployed AnonAddy application supports sending from an alias, but the exact send-from address format is instance-specific and has not been verified against the running idler.me application in this local build.

TODO: verify the exact send-from syntax and workflow against the running app.idler.me instance before publishing it. Do not infer the address format from a hosted addy.io account or from another deployment.

When the workflow is confirmed, use a verified recipient as the sending identity and check the alias exists and is active. If a send is rejected, inspect the recipient domain’s DMARC policy and the alias state. See troubleshooting.
